In addition to training in the use and application of essential oils, Holistic Aromatherapists are also given more training in other complementary therapies, and physiology nutrition and diet, anatomy so they are better able to understand the patient condition in context and recommend appropriate treatment or referral to other health professionals.

Holistic Aromatherapy is a complementary treatment and is not intended to substitute for medical treatment, if a medical condition exists. Typically patients with aches and discomforts including sports injuries, those with skin conditions, insomnia or emotional upsets and depression, are those that have benefited most from Holistic Aromatherapy treatments. Some patients have none of these conditions, but choose to take Aromatherapy treatment for the enhanced feeling of well-being it brings them.
